Magic: The Gathering
The original trading card game, played at tables every week.
What is it?
Two or more players build a deck from a huge pool of cards and battle with spells and creatures. Casual kitchen-table play and organized tournament play both exist, and they feel quite different.
Is it OK if I'm new?
New players are welcome. Starter and learn-to-play products exist so you can begin without building a deck from scratch, and staff can point you at the right one.
What should I bring?
A deck (or ask us about a starter product), and a friendly attitude. Events may have an entry fee and product requirement; we'll list those with each event.
How do I join in?
